ARFIDFoodJourney.com is a static informational website. The site does not provide user accounts or a website contact form.
Website analytics
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand general website usage. This may include pages viewed, referral sources, campaign information included in links, approximate location such as country or region, browser and operating-system information, screen width, and selected interactions such as clicks on Amazon purchase links or the contact email link.
GoatCounter does not use analytics cookies or persistent tracking identifiers. According to GoatCounter, visitor IP addresses and full browser User-Agent strings are not stored in its database. When session counting is enabled, GoatCounter temporarily uses the site, IP address, and User-Agent in memory for up to eight hours to distinguish visits; that mapping is not written to disk. Analytics are stored primarily as aggregate statistics.
Campaign tags in a URL, such as utm_source and utm_campaign, may be sent to GoatCounter so we can understand which outreach or social-media efforts led to visits or Amazon clicks.
If you contact us at hello@arfidfoodjourney.com, your message and email address are processed by the email services used to send and receive that communication.
Marketplace routing
When you use the /buy link, your browser requests an approximate country code from the third-party service Country (api.country.is) so the site can send you to an appropriate Amazon marketplace. The Country service states that it does not log requests. ARFIDFoodJourney.com does not retain the country lookup itself. The selected Amazon marketplace may be recorded in GoatCounter as an aggregate analytics event so we can understand which marketplaces visitors are being sent to.
Third-party services
The site uses or links to third-party services, including GoatCounter, Country (api.country.is), and Amazon. Those services operate under their own privacy practices.
Changes
This privacy notice may be updated if the website’s features or data practices change.
